Welcome to our traditional Römercastell, inn & hotel in Böhming.

On our menu you will find hearty snacks and fine delicacies from the Altmühl Valley to Tyrolean cuisine.

Several times a year, depending on the season, we change our menu, featuring everything from asparagus to game, from porcini mushrooms to pumpkin. We always prioritize fresh, regional ingredients and fair prices.

We source our beers from Bürgerlichen Brauhaus and the Herrnbräu brewery in Ingolstadt.

Open daily

Monday to Friday from 12:00 pm

Saturday from 12:00 pm

Sundays and public holidays from 11:00 am

Hot meals served continuously until 9:00 pm

For groups of 10 or more people, our inn is happy to open outside of these regular hours.

During the summer months, our cozy and partially covered beer garden invites you to linger.

Of course, in our beer garden we serve the beer specialties of the Herrnbräu brewery, Bavarian snacks and our regional dishes.

Enjoying beer at the Römercastell

Enjoy the beer specialties of the Herrnbräu brewery in Ingolstadt in our inn and beer garden.

In Ingolstadt, only 30 kilometers away, Duke Wilhelm IV proclaimed the famous “Bavarian Purity Law” in 1516.

This is the location of the traditional Herrnbräu brewery. For over 140 years, they have been brewing top-quality beer specialties here according to time-honored recipes and using only the finest ingredients.

Musician-friendly inn

Inns are social and convivial places where people meet, talk, discuss and make music.

As a musician-friendly inn, playing music here – even spontaneously and without prior notice – is not only permitted but expressly encouraged. As hosts, we are happy to provide beer, drinks, and a snack for the musicians in our inn or beer garden.

For this, we received an award from the Bavarian State Ministry for Home Affairs and Finance in November 2024 as part of the “Musician-Friendly Inn” project. The award was presented to us and the other inns by Finance and Home Affairs Minister Albert Füracker.
