Arrival by car

Coming from Munich/Ingolstadt, take the motorway (A9) exit 59-Denkendorf. From here, turn left toward Hauptstraße. In Denkendorf, make a slight right onto Wassertal and then follow the country road to Kipfenberg. In Kipfenberg, turn left onto Eichstätter Str. and then follow the country road to Böhming. In Böhming, turn right onto Wirtsstraße. The Römer-Castell is located on the left side, at house number 9. Parking spaces are available and included in the room rate.

Coming from Nuremberg, take the motorway (A9) exit 58-Altmühltal. From here, turn left toward Kinding. At the roundabout, take the third exit. After about 1 km, turn right toward Kipfenberg. In Kipfenberg, continue on Kindinger Straße and Försterstraße. Turn left onto Frankenring and then turn right onto Eichstätter Str. Follow the country road to Böhming. In Böhming, turn right onto Wirtsstraße. The Römer-Castell is located on the left side, at house number 9. Parking spaces are available and included in the room rate.

Arrival by public transport

Coming from Munich/Ingolstadt/Nuremberg by train.

• Exit at the Kinding (Altmühltal) train station.
• Continue by bus
  Bus line RBA 9232 (bus from Kinding to Kipfenberg/Böhming).
• Exit in Böhming Johannesstraße.
• The last approx. 200 meters between Johannesstraße and the Römer Castell must be covered on foot.

✔ Ticket: Regional bus tickets in the region often apply with a BahnCard if required (depending on the tariff). Find out about local networks (e.g. VGI).

✔ Alternative: If there is no bus service, you could use a taxi or VGI-Flexi Bus from Kinding train station.

Arrival by bicycle

Near Böhming, there are several cycling routes, including the Altmühltal Cycle Path, which passes directly through Böhming and by Roman sites such as the former castle.

The Altmühltal Panorama Trail passes through Böhming, right past our house. It winds in impressive stages over the heights of the valley, offering breathtaking views of the landscape, the Altmühltal, and historic sites around Böhming.
